Training
All staff undergo extensive training before being allowed to undertake works on the customers infrastructure.
Necessary training and qualifications include:
- PTS (Sentinel - Personal track safety)
- Lookout
- COSS
- Passport to Safety (Engineering Construction Industry Training Board)
- Bespoke PES induction
- First Aid - Appointed person
- Abrasive wheels
- Hydraulic excavator
- Manual handling
- Plant and machinery including hand tools
All staff are encouraged to engage in a Continued Professional Development programme with professional bodies and university.
Health & Safety
Where possible all staff work within a 'green zone' (total possession) under a COSS. All staff are certified and competant to undertake the works using the correct plant and equipment.
All plant and equipment is in good working condition and will be checked before any works. All infrastructure is left in a fit and safe condition when works are complete.
Staff have regular assessments and appraisals to gauge abilities and attitudes.
All works include up-to-date risk assessments and method statements and briefed to all staff before works commence.
